Job Overview

As a Talent Acquisition team member and part of the greater People & Culture team, the Talent Sourcer is focused on sourcing both passive and hidden talent through a variety of channels for Wawanesa’s current, prospective, strategic and diversity hiring needs across North America. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialists to execute on their talent acquisition strategy for hard-to-find talent. 
  • Research, identify, engage, and nurture top talent in traditional, creative, and innovative ways on the web, social media and professional networks.
  • Conduct reach-outs by email and phone that inspire job candidates to learn more about Wawanesa and our respective job opportunities.
  • Constantly seek out and implement new ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the sourcing processes.
  • Review and measure the impact of various sourcing methods/channels to substantiate success and opportunity gaps, measure candidate conversion rates.
  • Build and maintain ongoing candidate pipelines to support hiring goals.
  • Be a trusted partner by presenting sourcing insights to internal stakeholders as a means to deliver qualified talent and develop talent and recruiting acumen amongst stakeholders. 
  • Initiate innovative sourcing strategies that delivers new pipelines of internal and external talent.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
  • Promote our employer brand online through content and activity driving job candidates to take notice of Wawanesa’s Employer Value Proposition. 
  • Identify and work with Recruiting Administrator on implementing enhancements or processes.
  • Obtain and leverage competitive intelligence to improve targeted sourcing efforts. 
  • Build talent maps for current and prospective talent needs. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of proven experience in recruiting and/or sourcing job candidates 
  • Demonstrated ability to source talent via traditional and creative methods to success
  • Experience implementing sourcing strategies that address both short-term and long-term hiring needs
  • Exceptional time management skills are required to deliver on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing techniques (i.e. recruiting on social platforms and crafting Boolean search strings)
  • Familiarity with professional networking sites and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Github, etc.)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Ability to build, cultivate, and activate relationships with candidates
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience partnering with a cross-section of internal stakeholders to execute on sourcing strategies 
  • Track record of successfully delivering against assigned goals within a given deadline
  • Although not required, preference will be given to bilingual candidates (English / French)
