Job Overview

Working under minimal supervision, this job supports Wawanesa’s success by ensuring systems availability and accessibility for business applications by providing Level 2 support for break/fix issues and related enhancement requests in the ServiceNow environment.

 

 This is a full-time temporary position that is expected to end around the end of the calendar year.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs user Administration, creation and maintenance of groups and users, managing access requests for Add/Remove/Modify of permissions and maintaining access controls to ensure compliance.
  • Possesses an in-depth working knowledge of the technical implementation of various ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Catalog, Configuration Management, Knowledge Management, Reporting and Dashboards, MID Server, Inbound/Outbound notifications, Discovery, and related tool integrations with other systems. 
  • Continuously look for improvement/development/enhancement opportunities to streamline existing processes.
  • Performs administration of associated forms, lists, and drop-down values related to all modules and other process related workflows.
  • Creates update sets to move customizations between environments.
  • Schedules clones and conducting all post-clone activities.
  • Performs extensive testing to support a validated environment.
  • Implements ServiceNow workflows and leverages system automation to streamline processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of ServiceNow administration experience, ServiceNow Administration certification is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with SaaS (Software as a Service) and cloud-based technologies.
  • Strong ability to work with Java and JavaScript and open source tools in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with database design schemas and data modelling.
  • Familiar with webservices development include SOAP.
  • Previous experience of working in an Agile Development Methodology.
  • Strong requirements gathering experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as of a team and build strong working relationships. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with both Business and IS colleagues.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and initiative and willingness to learn new technologies. 
  • Solid Microsoft Word, and Excel skills capable of producing procedural documentation, queries and reports.
  • A background in IT Service Management processes and best practices.
  • Experience working with implementing ITIL based processes.
  • Working experience of Best Practices and the functionality provided by an out-of-box system.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT functions, technologies, and services and their relationship with Compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of communicating in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills capable of multitasking effectively and prioritizing appropriately.
