Job Overview

 

We are now hiring a Financial Analyst to join our team. 

 

The Financial Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, is responsible for performing the day to day business analysis requirements and provides financial support for decision making.

 

Job Responsibilities


•    Analyze and report on current financial status
•    Participate in budgeting (for departments and projects)
•    Analyze and enhance actual processes
•    Continuously monitor, recommend, and implement initiatives to increases effectiveness and productivity of different departments
•    Liaise with internal business units
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications


•    Minimum of 4 years of Financial Planning &Analysis experience
•    University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
•    Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is an asset 
•    Excellent analytical skills
•    Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts
•    Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
•    Familiarity with finance databases
•    Strong organization skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent responsibilities 
•    Adaptable to a changing environment, with the ability to champion change while motivating and influencing others
•    Highly proficient time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment
•    Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
•    A cooperative, enthusiastic and energetic attitude
•    Commitment to continuous learning on emerging trends and relevant accounting guidance 
•    Insurance industry experience is an asset
