JOB SUMMARY
Working under minimal supervision, the Bilingual Customer Service Representative will support Wawanesa’s success by providing a superior customer experience to customers in response to their inquiries on their investment related policies to maximize client retention. This role is an administrative role responsible for handling and resolving client concerns in an empathetic and understanding manner, processing client and advisor requests, calculating values, issuing new policy contracts and processing investment claims. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Main point of contact for customer inquiries regarding their investment policy.
  • Monitor and respond to emails sent by both clients and advisors within company service levels.
  • Process incoming customer requests including preparing of new policy contracts, withdrawals, rebalancing of funds, segregated fund guarantee calculations and death claims.
  • Provide options to clients upon maturity of their contract.
  • Follow regulatory compliance procedures. 
  • Recognize system problems and contact the appropriate department for assistance.
  • Organize and maintain annual RRSP tax receipts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative or customer service capacity in an office environment.
  • Investment knowledge (GIC's, Segregated Funds or Mutual Funds, RRSP or RRIF) is an asset
  • Must be able to communicate bilingually, both verbal and written in English and French is required.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically with Excel and Word, is required.
  • Strong mathematical skills are required.
  • Demonstrated adherence to strict confidentiality and privacy of information policies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn investment products and investment taxation laws.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at the right level for the audience, including by telephone.
  • Creative and effective problem-solving skills to interpret the needs of customers and resolve their issues, with the ability to conduct detailed analysis of information from numerous sources, and to select and implement best solutions. 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review information carefully and comprehensively. 
  • Comfortable working under pressure and handling stressful situations in a professional manner. 
  • Good time management and organization skills with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines, while being flexible in times of pressure and change.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive work atmosphere in a deadline driven environment.
  • Customer related courses and training are an asset.
