Job Overview

Working closely with the Office Services Supervisor, the Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for  coordinating office / workstation moves, assisting with changes to our physical space to meet the needs of the branch, security assignments, purchasing supplies, equipment maintenance, and providing assistance to the mailroom/admin department, while ensuring the professional representation of the company.



  • Source and purchase office supplies and equipment.
  • Manage inventory to ensure adequate office supplies.
  • Coordinate the repair and/or relocation of office furniture and equipment.
  • Coordinate with the accounting department for the payment of invoices pertaining to the goods and services purchased.
  • Installs, configures, and keeps in good repair all network equipment.
  • Provides back-up support for Branch Tech Reps.
  • General handyman tasks such as furniture repairs, assembly and other ad hoc tasks.
  • Assists with security systems for the office.
  • Provides support to the mailroom and assist in document scanning and upload.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • 2+  years progressively responsible administrative experience.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in support of multiple departments.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Outlook and Sharepoint would be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity or interest in the Property & Casualty insurance industry would be considered an asset.
