Job Overview

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting Ethics, Compliance, and Legal Department leadership and personnel in assessing compliance across business operations, including monitoring progress and reporting on ongoing compliance initiatives and projects, maintaining records and databases relating to compliance matters, and other administrative tasks as applicable to assigned lines of business.


Compensation: Depends on experience and varies by state


Colorado Only: 
• The pay range for this position is $25.06 -$37.59 per hour, depending on experience.
• This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 12 hours in a workday.


Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the development, monitoring, and tracking of compliance programs including management of compliance tools, and maintenance of records and databases related to compliance matters
  • In collaboration with Department leadership and personnel, partners with internal stakeholders in the identification and assessment of business risks, and thus supports and follows up on proposed remedial actions by the business, including new and modified business controls and monitoring procedures
  • Assists Department leadership and personnel with ongoing legislative developments, including review, analysis, tracking, communication strategy, and business implementation
  • Supports Department leadership and personnel in responding to general inquiries and requests received from stakeholders across the enterprise, tracks inquiries, identifies items for follow up, and reports on outcomes 
  • Operates as an effective member of the Department by supporting leadership and colleagues, and contributing in the achievement of overall Department and Company goals
  • Creates and drives awareness of compliance tools and resources through training and/or communications
  • Assists with other administrative roles and tasks supporting other members of the Ethics, Compliance and Legal department
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a compliance or administrative support role, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Bachelor’s degree; or Diploma in paralegal studies or administrative support program.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • A keen interest in compliance, internal controls, and/or business process improvement
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities and manage workload with moderate direction and oversight
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively and diplomatically in solving complex problems
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Outcome focused, self-motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and analyze large amounts of information
  • Experience with compliance administration software is an asset.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset (if located in Winnipeg)
