  • Primary Research: Design and run broker/member surveys, interviews, panels, and behavioral analysis; translate findings into clear problem statements and opportunity hypotheses.
  • Opportunity Sizing: Produce TAM, elasticity views, and LR/COR impact by segment/province; support scenario modeling for business cases.
  • Maintain a competitive & trend radar: Keep live market maps for UBI/telematics, ADAS/EV, embedded, home IoT, and small-commercial platforms; track regulatory trends (FSRA/CCIR) and implications.
  • Competitive & Regulatory Radar: Maintain live market maps (features, pricing/discounts, endorsements) and monitor FSRA/CCIR/provincial guidance; summarize implications for filings, wordings, eligibility/rules, and T&Cs.
  • Evidence Packs: Package assumptions, sources, and models into executive-ready memos/slides with explicit recommendations and success metrics.
  • Data Governance: Maintain a versioned repository of sources/methods; ensure research privacy/compliance (e.g., PIPEDA) and audit-readiness.
  • Deliver executive-ready storytelling: Produce brief, decision-oriented memos and slides; package Evidence Packs (assumptions, sources, models) to support go/no-go and sequencing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in insurance analytics, market research, competitive intelligence, or financial modeling (P&C preferred).
  • Advanced Excel and strong proficiency in Power BI or MicroStrategy; ability to wrangle large datasets and build clear visuals.
  • Demonstrated experience designing/analyzing surveys or qualitative research; comfort turning messy data into crisp insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication—able to reduce complex analysis to a one-page brief and a 10-slide deck.
