Job Overview
The Facilities Coordinator, reporting directly to the Facilities Supervisor, plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all facilities-related activities at Wawanesa. With a focus on efficiency and courtesy, this position is integral to maintaining high standards across facility management.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to Facilities Operations, including managing access control, facilitating space planning initiatives, and overseeing vendor relationships for assigned locations.
- Assist Facilities Supervisor/Specialist with various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations.
- Manage building access, including issuance of access cards as required to employees/vendors.
- Manage workspace planning to support business needs and employee experience.
- Support the National Fleet Program.
- Support Facilities maintenance ticket system for assigned locations.
- Coordinate and support site inspections for assigned locations and address inspection outcomes.
- Overnight travel between the Dartmouth and Moncton offices will be required on a regular, monthly basis and as required.
- Act as a backup resource for Facilities Operations Support, guaranteeing prompt handling of mail, administrative tasks, and reception duties.
- On-call support for after-hours situations arising in the assigned locations.
- Undertake additional special projects assigned and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of facility operations.
- Perform any other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Facilities Management.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated capacity to adapt to changing environments and maintain performance stability under pressure or opposition.
- Completion of post-secondary education is an asset.
- Bilingual in French and English considered a strong asset.
