The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $55,000 - $58,000.  Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview

The Facilities Coordinator, reporting directly to the Facilities Supervisor while working under the general supervision of the Facilities Specialist, plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of all facilities-related activities at Wawanesa. With a focus on efficiency and courtesy, this position is integral to maintaining high standards across facility management.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to Facilities Operations, including managing access control, facilitating space planning initiatives, and overseeing vendor relationships.
  • Assist Facilities Supervisor/specialist with various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Act as a backup resource for Facilities Operations Support, guaranteeing prompt handling of mail, administrative tasks, and reception duties.
  • Undertake additional special projects as assigned, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of facility operations.
  • Perform any other duties as directed
     

Qualifications

  • Completion of relevant post-secondary education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Facilities Management, demonstrating a broad skill set.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, including familiarity with scanners and other office equipment, as well as advanced skills in MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, showcasing outstanding communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to adapt to changing environments and maintain performance stability under pressure or opposition.
  • ​Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
