The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is within the following range: $26.48/hour - $33.10/hour.

Job Overview
- Help build internal tools and AI agents for the architecture team.
- Build proof-of-concepts, which are small projects to test whether a new AI tool or framework works for us.
- Help build our Technology Radar, a tool that tracks the technologies we care about and shows which ones we use, which ones we're testing and which ones we're watching.
- Write simple documentation and share what you find with the team.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related program.
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs or AI agents, through coursework, personal projects or hackathons.
- Familiarity with at least one agent framework or approach, such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel or MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Programming experience in Python.
- Basic understanding of prompting, tool calling and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Curious, willing to learn and comfortable asking questions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Assets
- Experience building a simple web app or user interface.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), or AI services like Amazon Bedrock or Azure AI Foundry.
- Experience with Git or GitHub.
- A portfolio or GitHub project that shows something you've built with AI.
