Salary: At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range: $75,000-95,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview
The Talent Program Delivery Specialist supports Wawanesa’s success by building organizational capability and driving performance. Working with the People & Culture (P&C) team and business leaders, this role will be part of a team that delivers our talent management (TM) lifecycle, strategic workforce initiatives, and programs that identify and retain top talent, ensuring Wawanesa’s workforce is equipped to meet current and future business needs.
With support from both the manager and senior specialists, this role involves partnering across the Talent and Organizational Effectiveness team to execute initiatives that build organizational capability. It also involves working with leaders to deliver our full talent management lifecycle, to enable a culture of high performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Talent Program Delivery & Optimization:
- Work with leaders to implement TM strategies that align with business objectives and support organizational growth.
- Collaborate with P&C and leadership teams to optimize and improve TM programming.
- Performance Management:
- Deliver Wawanesa’s goal setting and performance management process.
- Coach leaders on setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, and managing performance
- Work with leaders to identify and hold teams accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs) that align individual and team goals with overall business objectives.
- Talent Review and Succession Planning:
- Facilitate talent review and succession planning initiatives to ensure a strong pipeline of talent.
- Work with leaders to regularly review and update succession plans, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
- Organizational Design:
- Conduct assessments of current organizational operating models and structures, to recommend changes to improve alignment with business strategy, enhance efficiency, and support scalability.
- Strategic Workforce Planning Initiatives:
- Work with P&C and leaders to implement strategic workforce planning initiatives that align with strategic objectives.
- High-Potential and Targeted Development:
- Identify high-potential employees and partner cross-functionally to enable their development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Talent Development, and across People & Culture to ensure the execution of TM programs align with overall business objectives.

- Ensure TM programs and practices support a diverse workforce and promote an inclusive culture.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- HR Certification or certification in TM or leadership development is an asset.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of HR experience, with a focus on HR business partnering, TM, or succession planning.
- Proven experience delivering and optimizing TM programs in a medium-sized organization.
- A basic understanding of Canadian employment laws and regulations, particularly around performance management and talent development.
- Skills:
- Basic business acumen and the ability to align talent strategies with business goals.
- Good communication, facilitation, negotiation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Developing analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
- Experience with TM systems or human resource information systems (HRIS).
- Project management skills is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
