Working Business Language: Bilingual in French and English (This role is considered a head office role and requires regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders across Canada where the business languages utilized are both English and French. The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to: your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. Job Overview
The Relationship Management Specialist supports Wawanesa’s success by partnering with the People & Culture team and business leaders to address talent needs, enhance team performance, and foster a high-performance culture. This role provides hands-on support in executing talent strategies, offering performance coaching, and facilitating communication to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Job Responsibilities
Talent Solutions and Problem-Solving:
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand talent challenges and propose effective solutions to optimize performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations on strategies for managing team dynamics and addressing talent gaps.
Performance Support:
- Assist leaders in setting performance goals and creating actionable plans to align with business objectives.
- Provide guidance on addressing performance challenges and fostering team motivation and development.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Support leadership coaching initiatives, offering tools and techniques to enhance leadership effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leaders to drive team engagement, accountability, and resilience during times of change.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Act as a key point of contact between leaders and the People & Culture team to ensure alignment and information sharing.
- Present recommendations and updates to leaders and other stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
Talent Strategy Support:
- Support the implementation of talent strategies by coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring timely execution.
- Provide input on emerging trends and best practices to enhance workforce planning and team effectiveness.
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve workflow to support operational goals.
- Work with teams to implement solutions that enhance productivity and collaboration.
Organizational Culture and Alignment:
- Promote a culture of inclusivity, continuous learning, and employee well-being by supporting leadership in aligning practices with organizational values.
- Provide tools and resources for leaders to foster a positive and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications
Education:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- HR certification (e.g., CHRP) is an asset.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, relationship management, or a similar role.
- Experience supporting or coaching leaders is preferred.
- Exposure to Canadian employment laws and regulations is an asset.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with team members and leaders.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, with a practical approach to addressing talent challenges.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with HR tools and software; experience with project management tools is a plus.
- French fluency is a requirement.
