Job Overview

 

As the National Accounts Manager, you will be contributing to Individual and Group Business Development’s priorities by sourcing, acquiring and supporting producer relationships. You will be collaborating with Sales Leaders to achieve plans for all lines and proactively deliver insurance advice to producers, providing quotes, solutions and advice to brokers and developing relationships to optimize business opportunities and referrals, and creating and presenting sales concepts at national conferences.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the achievement of Individual and Group Business Developments business plans specific to sales targets and cost controls.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with marketing staff of key producers and National account.
  • Responding to inquiries, suggestions, complaints and requests for marketing support from Producers.
  • Providing product knowledge and system training to key distribution partners.
  • Initiating contact with and responding to inquiries from National accounts and producer partners and providing marketing and service support for all products.
  • Identifying and prioritizing key opportunities within producer groups.
  • Develop presentations to be used by sales team, presenting sales ideas and providing market and product updates.
  • Develop onboarding and follow-up programs for brokers and other departments.
  • Assisting with new Producer/National account setup including proactive calling and providing follow-up material.
  • Participating in the sales planning process and assisting with establishing appointments.
  • Maintaining contact management system for sales and facilitating regularly scheduled meetings.  

     

Qualifications

  • Marketing or Business degree or equivalent combination of industry education and experience. 
  • 5 years of relevant insurance experience
  • Proficient Microsoft Office
  • Strong planning and organizing skills involving goal setting and results measurement, with the ability to develop effective plans that define activities, resources and timelines.
  • Strong presentation and training skills with the ability to effectively facilitate sessions and deliver powerful presentations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and ensure understanding
  • Strong team player who facilitates high morale by encouraging others to be excited, motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Insurance Designation considered an asset
